Workspace Users

Manage your internal team’s access to the workspace by defining roles, assigning tasks, and controlling what sections they can access and modify.

Workspace Users Overview

In Rayven, there are four types of Workspace Users, each with different levels of access and permissions. These are listed from the highest access level to the lowest:

  1. Account Owner
  2. SuperAdmin
  3. Admin
  4. User

Each Rayven Account can have only one Account Owner, but it can have multiple SuperAdmins, Admins, and Users.

If you're already familiar with Rayven solutions and would like to become the Account Owner, please reach out to your Rayven representative for assistance.

Default User Role

By default, all Workspace users are assigned the SuperAdmin role. SuperAdmins have the ability to create and manage other Workspace Users, including assigning Admin or User permissions to control access to specific solutions.

It's not mandatory to set a SuperAdmin as the Account Owner. If your solutions are managed by the Rayven team, you may opt to remain a SuperAdmin while still having full access to all account solutions.

Managing Workspace Users

To view or manage Workspace Users in your Rayven Account, follow these steps:

  1. Click the menu icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Workspace Users.

From this page, you can add new users or edit existing users' details, depending on your permissions.

Workspace User Roles & Permissions

The following outlines the permissions for each user level. For more information on specific Solution Roles, refer to Section 4.3 of this guide.

1. Account Owner

  • Unique Role: Only one Account Owner per Rayven Account.
  • Non-Deletable: You can't delete the Account Owner directly. If you need to change the Account Owner, contact your Rayven representative.

Permissions:

  • Create, edit, and delete Workspace Users (excluding their own credentials).
  • Assign SuperAdmin, Admin, or User permissions to Workspace Users.
  • Create and delete Solutions.
  • Create, edit, and delete Solution Roles.
  • Assign Solution Roles to other Workspace Users.
  • View Service Usage for all account solutions.
  • Access White Labeling options for all account solutions.

By default, the Account Owner is assigned as the Solution Owner after creating a solution. They can assign another user as the Solution Owner if needed.

2. SuperAdmin

Permissions:

  • Create, edit, and delete Workspace Users (excluding their own credentials or the Account Owner).
  • Assign Admin or User permissions to other Workspace Users.
  • Create and delete Solutions.
  • Create, edit, and delete Solution Roles.
  • Assign Solution Roles to other Workspace Users.

SuperAdmins are automatically assigned as Solution Owner for any solutions they create and can reassign this role to other users.

  • Assign User permissions to other Workspace Users.
  • Create Solutions.
  • View Service Usage for solutions they have access to.
  • Access White Labeling options for solutions they have access to.

For any solutions an Admin creates, they will automatically be assigned as Solution Owner. As a Solution Owner, they can:

  • Delete the solution.
  • Reassign the Solution Owner role to another user.
  • Assign Solution Roles to other users.

If an Admin is not the Solution Owner, they can only interact with solutions that another Workspace User has granted them access to.

Permissions:

  • Create Solutions.
  • View Service Usage for solutions they have access to.
  • Access White Labeling options for solutions they have access to.

Limitations:

For any solutions they create, Users will automatically be assigned as the Solution Owner. As the Solution Owner, they can assign ownership or Solution Roles to other users. If they are not the Solution Owner, Users can only access solutions when granted permission by another Workspace User.
