Service Usage

Monitor how your applications are performing across your workspace. This section provides a breakdown of key metrics such as transactions ,data sources , and communication activity (emails and SMS ), helping you track usage and optimize performance.

Detailed Steps:

  • Step 1: From the workspace, go to Service Usage.
  • Step 2: Review metrics related to:
      • Application Name
The name of each configured application within your workspace.

      • Total Transactions
The total number of data processing or workflow executions performed by the application.

      • Total Data Sources
The number of unique data sources connected to the application, including APIs, databases, files, and IoT feeds.

      • Active Data Sources
The data sources currently transmitting or receiving data in real-time or on schedule.

      • Emails Sent
The total number of automated or triggered emails sent by the application.

      • SMS Sent
The total number of SMS messages sent via the application’s notification or alerting features.

  • Step 3: Use filtering options to view usage by specific time periods, applications, or services.
  • Step 4: Analyze any spikes in service usage, which might indicate inefficiencies or issues.
  • Step 5: Use the insights to optimize your service plan, possibly upgrading or reducing resource consumption based on project needs.

Use Case Example:

A company monitoring real-time sensor data might track their API usage to ensure they aren’t exceeding their data transfer limits, adjusting accordingly during periods of peak data transmission.
